1 cup uncooked oats
1 cup flour
1 cup shredded carrots
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1/4 cup molasses
Mix ingredients in bowl as listed. Make little balls and place on cookie sheet which has been sprayed with oil or Pam.) Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Cats will consider this salad a real treat.
1 small carrot, peeled and finely grated
1/2 cup chopped sprouts
2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon fresh organic catnip
2 tablespoons vegetable broth
Blend carrot, sprouts, parsley and catnip in a medium-size bowl. Add broth and lightly toss.
4 cups suet
1/4 cup millet
1 cup cracker or bread crumbs
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup dried fruit: raisins, currants or dates
1/4 cup peanuts or peanut butter
Melt the suet or solid fat in a large, heavy saucepan until it is liquid. Remove from heat and allow it to cool until slightly thickened.
This is to be used for baby birds that fall from the nest.
